Please join us in congratulating Artadia Executive Director Patton Hindle on her appointment as Director of Arts at Knight Foundation, where she will join the foundation’s Arts team in this next chapter. Her last day with Artadia will be January 12, 2026. Artadia’s Program Director, Bora Kim, will serve as Interim Executive Director while the Board of Directors conducts a national search for the organization’s next leader.

During Hindle’s tenure, Artadia strengthened its position as a vital force in the national contemporary art ecosystem, deepening its commitment to supporting artists with dignity and unrestricted funding. Under her leadership, the organization advanced its strategic vision, being responsive to what artists need now and into the future through launching the Sustaining Fund and embarking on a multi-year partnership with United States Artists.

“Artadia has been supporting artists for nearly thirty years and our mission has never been more vital. We wish Patton the best in her future endeavors and are thrilled that Bora Kim will serve as Interim Executive Director as the Board and our wonderful team work together to chart our next chapter,” says Christopher E. Vroom, Artadia’s Founder.

“For nearly three decades, Artadia has demonstrated that investing in artists with trust and flexibility creates transformative impact. It has been an honor to steward this mission, and I’m confident that Artadia’s best work lies ahead,” said Patton Hindle.

As Interim Executive Director, Kim brings deep programmatic expertise and institutional knowledge to the role. She will work closely with Artadia’s Board of Directors and staff to ensure continuity and momentum as the organization enters its next phase.

The Board of Directors will launch a national search for Artadia’s next Executive Director in the coming weeks. You may view the full job description here
