We are pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Schrager and Joyce Siegel to the Artadia Board of Directors.

Tim Schrager founded Perennial Properties, Inc., an Atlanta based real estate development, investment, and property management company, in 1998. Schrager started as a one-man shop, learning the business from the ground up by building and renovating multi-family projects in Atlanta’s intown neighborhoods. Perennial was often the pioneer for new development in areas that others deemed to be too risky such as Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward. Over more than three decades, Perennial has been responsible for the development of several multi-family communities as well as multi-family and retail mixed use developments in Georgia and Florida.

Schrager was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He received a B.S. degree in Real Estate Finance from the University of Southern California and moved to Atlanta upon graduation where he and his wife still live today. He is currently involved in several Atlanta community organizations including: High Museum (Board of Directors); Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta (Community Campaign Division Co-Chair); GoATL Affordable Housing Fund (Board of Directors and Investment Committee Member).

Joyce Siegel is a working artist and arts educator, as well as the founder of Joyce’s Art Walk, where she leads intimate gallery tours in Chelsea, Tribeca, and the Upper East Side. She has participated in and followed the NYC art scene for over twenty years and has been an Artist-in-Residence at Yaddo and the Vermont Studio School. In addition to painting, drawing and creating ceramic sculptures, Joyce has taught art history in public schools, mentored art students at LaGuardia Community College, advised artists and served as a Board member at Art In General, Fountain House Gallery and the Arts Committee at Longhouse Reserve. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Drawing Center, the Business Council of The Parrish Art Museum and participates in the Contemporary Arts Council at The Museum of Modern Art and the International Forum at Independent Curators International.

Since its founding in 1999, Artadia has awarded over $6 million in unrestricted funds to over 400 artists nationally. Celebrating visual artists and their foundational role in shaping society, the Artadia Award benefits three artists annually in seven major US cities with high concentrations of creative workers—Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
