Alice Shaw is an artist and educator based in San Francisco, CA. A graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute, Shaw often infuses documentation with humor and poignancy. She has practiced photography for more than 25 years and she has been adjunct faculty at University of California, Davis, University of California, Santa Cruz, University of California, Berkeley, San Francisco State University, The California College of Art and The San Francisco Art Institute. Her book, People Who Look Like Me, was published in 2006. Her work is represented by Gallery 16 in San Francisco.
