Sigrid Sandström was born in 1970 in Stockholm, Sweden. She received her BFA at Academie Minerva, Groningen, The Netherlands in 1997 and her MFA in 2001 at Yale University School of Art, New Haven, CT. She has also studied at The Cooper Union School of Art, New York, NY (1995) and Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Skowhegan, ME (2000).
