Sigrid Sandström

Sigrid Sandström was born in 1970 in Stockholm, Sweden. She received her BFA at Academie Minerva, Groningen, The Netherlands in 1997 and her MFA in 2001 at Yale University School of Art, New Haven, CT. She has also studied at The Cooper Union School of Art, New York, NY (1995) and Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Skowhegan, ME (2000).

Her work has been exhibited widely at Inman Gallery, Houston, TX; Galleri Gunnar Olsson, Stockholm; Brant Gallery, Mass College of Art, Boston, MA; Mills College Art Museum, Oakland, CA; Frye Museum, Seattle, WA (catalogue); Edward Thorp Gallery, New York, NY; Galleri Thomas Wallner, Simris, Sweden; The Company, Los Angeles, CA; Kajsa & Olle Nyman Cultural Foundation, Saltsjö-Duvnäs, Sweden; ADAA Armory Show, New York, NY; Cecilia Hillström Gallery, Stockholm; Anat Ebgi, Los Angeles, CA; and The Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Stockholm.
