This spring, Artadia hosted a successful series of benefit fundraisers in celebration of Artadia’s 20th Anniversary. We are grateful to our supporters and attendees for their generosity, helping us surpass our fundraising goals.
On March 6, Artadia hosted an intimate luncheon at David Zwirner Gallery. This event was the launch of a tableware series of Artist Editions, entirely created by Awardees. Attendees were treated to food by Canard and remarks from Board Member Marilyn Minter, Board Member and Awardee Nick Cave, and Awardee Summer Wheat.
On April 29, Artadia hosted the Unrestricted Benefit Gala at Phillips. We are incredibly grateful to Phillips for hosting such a festive and successful event for us. 300 attendees from around the country celebrated with us while enjoying tequila by Casa Dragones and music by Chances With Wolves. Our April 29 benefit party and silent auction surpassed our fundraising goal, allowing Artadia to continue creating opportunities for artists to thrive.
Through a partnership with Phillips, Artadia offered 14 works by leading contemporary artists in a capsule sale in Phillips’ 20th Century and Contemporary Art Day Sale. Artadia is thrilled to have surpassed our goal at our capsule sale and raised crucial funds: over $550,000 to support the next generation of visual artists. This feat solidifies the bright future for our influential Artadia Award program. 14 leading contemporary artists generously donated their work to be included in the auction and we extend our immense gratitude to them and their galleries who understand and celebrate the power of supporting fellow artists across the nation.
