The Art Guys received the Artadia Award in 2004 and 2006.

The Art Guys (Michael Galbreth, 1956-2019, Philadelphia, and Jack Massing, b. 1959, Buffalo) began working together in 1983 while students at the University of Houston and have continued their collaboration for more than 30 years. The duo works across disciplines, employing sculpture, drawing, performances, installations, and video. They have mounted more than 40 solo exhibitions at spaces including the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, Tacoma Art Museum, the de Saisset Museum, the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, and the Tampa Museum of Art. Recent solo exhibitions include The Tunnel of Love, One Allen Center, Houston, Texas and Some Conceptions, Gensler, Houston, Texas, and recent group exhibitions include Parliament of Owls, DiverseWorks, Houston, Texas and WET, Curated by Henry Hunt and Donna Tennant, Williams Tower, Houston, Texas, all in 2015.
