Renewing their partnership with EXPO CHICAGO for the second year, Artadia: The Fund for Art and Dialogue will present the Artadia/EXPO CHICAGO Award, a new prize awarded to one Chicago-based artist during the fair. Artists with work on display by EXPO CHICAGO exhibitors will be eligible, and the award will be chosen by an esteemed panel of jurors, led by Nora Burnett Abrams, Associate Curator of The Museum of Contemporary Art Denver.
The winner of the EXPO CHICAGO/Artadia Prize will join the Artadia family and receive all lifetime privileges of the Artadia awardees. This includes access to Artadia’s national network, the option to participate in Artadia programs such as its New York Residency program, publications and exhibitions program, professional services and promotion in all Artadia materials. The prize will be awarded during EXPO CHICAGO (Sept. 19-22) at Navy pier’s Festival Hall.

“Artadia provides support for artists at pivotal stages in their careers,” said Artadia Founder and President Christopher E. Vroom. “We are reflecting our mission to fuel local art communities by creating this new award, and EXPO CHICAGO is the ideal venue for this presentation.”
