Artadia, a nonprofit grant-making organization and nationwide community of visual artists, curators, and patrons, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kes Narbutas to the Artadia Board of Directors.

Kes Narbutas is an attorney, real estate developer and founder of multiple real estate related service ventures based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is an avid collector and supporter of the arts community who divides his time between Marin County, NYC and Mexico. He is a member of Curators Circle and Contemporaries at SFMoMA, as well as the Society for the Encouragement of Contemporary Art (SECA) where he served on the Council for six years. He was the Founding Chairman of the Curator’s Circle at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and has recently joined the Audience Engagement Committee at the Headlands Center for the Arts in Marin County California.

Since its founding in 1999, Artadia has awarded over $6 million in unrestricted funds to over 390 artists nationally. Celebrating visual artists and their foundational role in shaping society, the Artadia Award benefits three artists annually in seven major US cities with high concentrations of creative workers—Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
